Özet: Objective: This study was carried out in order to determine the attitudes of senior nursing students related to scientific research. Methods: This descriptive study was carried out on the senior students of Bursa Uludağ University Nursing Department between January - February 2020. The sample of the study consisted of 57 intern nursing students who voluntarily accepted to participate in the research. The data were collected by using “Individual Information Form” and “Attitude Scale towards Scientific Research (ASSR)”. In terms of ethics, oral approval was obtained from students and ethical approval was obtained from University. Results: It was found that 56.1% of the nursing students within the scope of the research took part in the process of conducting scientific research, 80.7% attended a professional scientific meeting, 40.4% regularly followed periodicals in the field of nursing. The total score average of the Attitude Scale towards Scientific Research (ASSR) was determined as 115.03 ± 14.24. The mean scores of the Positive Attitude towards Scientific Research sub-dimension of students who take part in the scientific research process and follow professional periodicals regularly were found significantly higher (p <0.05). Conclusion: As a result of the research, it has been found that the intern nursing students' attitudes towards scientific research are positive. In line with these results; it is recommended that students be provided with the opportunity to attend professional scientific meetings and conduct scientific research at least once during their education and to encourage them to follow scientific publications.
