Özet: Crime is a phenomenon that has been continuing from the existence of humanity to the present day. The Crime is generally defined as "actions and movements adopted by the legislature, where the law punishable the Act or society, or that it is dangerous. The concept of "crime", which is a subject of studies in Many fields, has recently found itself in the perspective of mass media. One of These tools is the cinema, the physical property of the halls, technology, etc. are separated from other vehicles due to its features. Considering These effects, the cinema has been seen as an important area for reflecting or building dominant ideology in the historical process. The cinema, which has the potential to become Such a political mechanism, can also legitimize the many elements that exist in the social structure by reproducing it. One of These elements is "crime". In the films produced in Turkish Cinema after 2000, the criminal element constitutes the fundamental argument of the work that is legitimized through the "comedy" element in popular films. The main aim of this study, which is a Qualitative research technique, is to determine how the criminal element is legitimized through popular comedy films in Turkish Cinema after 2000 in the sample of the film Kolpaçino (2009). As a result of the Study, the criminal elements attempted to legitimise using comedy were found to have arouted sympathy and intimacy over the viewers.
