Özet: Football, the most popular sport today, has emerged as a universal sport. During the competition, the football players affect the results of the football matches with the decisions they make. With this study, it was aimed to determine the decision making styles of footballers in Elazig province. The universe of the research consists of 792 football players who play football in Elazig. The sample consists of 186 players actively engaged in sports among these players. The personal information form (age, educational status, sports year and training frequency) was used to determine the demographic information of the soccer players participating in the study. (1998), Melbourne Decision Making Questionary (Melbourne Decision Making Questionary) and Deniz (2004) adapted the scale to Turkish and conducted a validity and reliability study. SPSS 22.0 statistics program was used to analyze the data in the study and calculate the results. Considering the sub-dimensions of our study in terms of variables, it was found that there were significant differences in age, education status, sports year and training frequency (p <0.05). Decision-making self-esteem and delaying in the age variable, self-esteem and postponing in the educational status variable, self-esteem in decision-making, avoidant, procrastinating, and in the training frequency variable, meaningful differences were found in the sub-dimensions of self-esteem, careful and delaying (p <0.05 ). . As a result; In the examination of the decision-making styles of footballers in Elazig province, it was determined that the average values of younger football players were higher than the older football players, and as the education level and sports year increased, the decision-making styles increased and the training frequency changed as the football players trained.
