Özet: In this study, it has been aimed to examine the levels of “Team-Cohesion” of the adolescents (15-16 age) attending sport schools of various sportive branches and the ones just playing in school teams without attending any sport school. The sample group of the study consists of 157 participants in total (97 male, 60 female) 108 of which attending to sport school (35 football, 48 Basketball, 25 Handball) and 49 of which not attending to sport school. “Cohesion in Sport Teams the Group Environment Questionnaire ” has been used to measure the level of cohesion among the participants. The inventory has 4 sub-dimensions such as “Individual attraction to group task”, “Individual attraction to group - social”, “Group integration task”, “Group integration - social”. The data obtained from the study has been assessed by descriptive statistics and one-way analysis of variance. According to the result of the statistical assessment, there is a significant difference between the participants attending and not attending to sport school in each of the four sub-dimensions. There is a significant difference in group integrity sub-dimension according to the gender factor assessment of the male and female participants attending and not attending to sport school. According to the assessment of place of birth, the perception of team cohesion of the participants of the study (Tekirdağ province) is higher than the ones from different provinces. At the end of the data obtained, it has been concluded that the perception of team cohesion of the adolescents attending to sport school is better than the ones not attending to sport school. It has been considered that the study implemented on adolescents attending sport schools in various sport branches will enable to assess the positive effect of sport school on team cohesion better.
