Özet: This study was carried out to determine the tractor selection and brand preferences of farmers. For this reason, Çumra district of Konya province was chosen as a research area. The data used in the study consisted of collected data from 116 farms by using “Proportional Sampling Technique” through survey method. These data are according to tractor age groups; 1 (<10), 2 (10.1-21) and 3 (21.1>) were divided into three groups, analyzed and interpreted. The share of third group farms in total tractor assets is determined as 45.6%, and new generation tractors are preferred by these operators. The average amount of land per tractor was 176.7 decares, the annual working time of the tractor was 545, 4 hours. It was determined that the top three ranks in the list of tractor brand preferences of the producers were TÜMOSAN (36.8%), Massey Ferguson (23.9%) and Fiat (16.2%). The profitable use of the tractor, which has an important place in the investments with high cost, should be encouraged, and more training should be given to the farms that produce products with a chemical residue problem.
