Özet: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of reduced vitamin and trace mineral premix on performance, egg quality and blood parameters in laying quail diets. A total of 100 quails, 8 weeks old, were randomly distributed into 5 treatment groups with 4 replicates pens of 5 birds. The quails were fed for 10 weeks on a five-trial diet consisting of a reduction of vitamin and trace mineral premix of 0 (control), 25, 50, 75 or 100% of the recommended amount.  Treatment had no effect on body weight change, egg weight and mass, feed conversion ratio, egg shape index, egg breaking strength or blood serum parameters except MCH and MCHC (P>0.05). Egg production and feed intake were significantly lowered in the group without vitamins and trace minerals premix (P<0.01). Haugh unit and white blood index decreased with reduced vitamin and trace mineral premix levels in the diet. Reduction of 50% of vitamin and trace mineral premix in the diet adversely affected eggshell weight (P<0.05) and thickness (P<0.01). Blood MCH and MCHC values increased with decreased vitamin and trace mineral premix levels in the diet. As a result, it can be said that the recommended amounts addition of vitamins and trace mineral premixes to the layer quail diets is necessary for maintaining performance and egg quality.
