Özet: Every woman has little fear of birth. Tocophobia is defined as severe fear of birth. Compared to multiparous and nulliparous, nulliparous fear of birth is more severe and fear of birth is more severe. 6-10% of women with pathological birth fear are coping with tocophobia. Relaxation exercises, pain management, cognitive behavioral approach and hypnosis can be used in the treatment. Fears of the pregnant women about the birth process should be identified and fear of birth should be treated to reduce the complications of birth.
