Özet: The aim of the study is that to develop an understanding of Islamic cuisine by examining The Prophet Muhammad’s (s.a.v.) nutritional behavior to within the verses and hadiths. For this purpose, instead of seeking healing in foods, The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v.) how to feed? What kind of culinary culture did the geography at that time have? What kind of culinary culture did The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v.) preach? What is mentioned about culinary culture and diet in the Qur'an and the authentic hadiths? were searched for answers. In the study, document analysis method which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. This study, the source of the hadith and the Holy Quran in the direction of the The Prophet Muhammad’s (s.a.v.) diet, cuisine culture of that period, halal and haram separated from food and drinks systematically examining the data obtained is a descriptive research to create an understanding of Islamic cuisine. It is understood from the study results that The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v.) likes sheep thigh but is seen to tell people that meat should not consume too much. With this research, the scattered information was brought together and the deficiency in the literature was tried to be eliminated. With this study, it is thought that the understanding of Islamic cuisine can help to reflect its reflections on Turkish cuisine culture.
