Özet: The aim of the study; the relationship between undergraduate students' Self-compassion and Social Media Addiction to reveal whether the differs significantly according to different variables. The Relational survey model was used in this study. Study group have consist of simple-randomly selected 307 studying undergraduate students in 2019- 2020 academic year studying in Turkey. In the study, the "Self-Compassion Scale (SCS)" adapted by Deniz, Kesici and Sumer (2008) into Turkish and the Social Media Addiction Scale-Adult Form developed by Sahin and Yagci (2017) were used. "One Way Analysis of Variance", "Man Whitney U," Kruskal Wallis "," Tukey HSD "," Tamhane's T2 "tests with Pearson Correlation Analysis and Simple Linear Regression Analysis were used in this study. It was found that there was a negative and low level significant relationship between self-compassion and social media addiction in this study. Additionally it was seen that the self-compassion predicted at the rate of %4,1 of social media addiction and sub-dimension averages in this study.
