Özet: Therefore to give safe care for mothers and infants during the perinatal period, to minimize the risk of preventable patient harm and to promote patient safety for women who give birth is the mutual goal of health professionals and health care systems. perinatal medical errors remains as a major cause maternal / fetal / neonatal mortality and morbidity. Promoting perinatal high reliability care for women and infants is essential interdisciplinary team participation, administrative support, careful planning. Within an interdisciplinary team particularly nursing has a central role in maintaining perinatal patient safety. This review, health professionals and health care institutions has been created to provide guidance and information about conceptual framework for perinatal patient safety and related to the role of perinatal patient safety nurse.
