Özet: Bayt al-Maqdis is a place considered sacred for Muslims. In this context, especially within al-Aqsa Mosque, two important religious structures are of great interest, namely al-Aqsa Jami and the Dome of the Rock. Both these buildings were built in the Umayyad period, and were later meticulously protected by the Abbasids, Fatimids, Ayyubids, Mamluks and Ottomans. This article discusses a report sent from Palestine to Turkey in 1923 regarding al-Aqsa Jami and the Dome of the Rock. This report deals with the historical development of both al-Aqsa Jami and the Dome of the Rock, and its restoration as well as the additions of the various Muslim states. Furthermore, the paper deals with the technical delegation established for the repair of these structures. This delegation invites all Muslims to assist and contribute to the financing of the restoration of these structures, which have an important place for Muslims. This delegation, which included the famous Turkish architect Kemalettin Bey, completed the restoration of the al-Aqsa Jami and the Dome of the Rock.
