Özet: The aim of this study is to discuss the impossibility of multicultural education, considered to have significantly  increased in recent years, based upon the negativities of the multicultural education process in the literature. Document analysis was used in this descriptive study which was performed in the scanning model. Researches were discussed about the problems faced by refugee students and criticisms on multicultural education. As a result of reviews: Parents of foreign students have various problems about understanding this process and supporting the child. Language deficiencies, lack of education in their own countries or lack of education, school environment are the problems arising from the attitudes and behaviors of teachers/administrators. Besides, the physical and social problems in the new life areas, not to stay in a place for a long time are the other problem areas. In addition, it has been determined that foreign students have various language and communication problems such as not being able to fully understand Turkish, not being able to communicate with Turkish friends and teachers cannot communicate with family. The individuals who depart from their usual lifestyle, relationships and social environment experience various emotional problems at the place they live. As a result of such a negative experience, it is understood from the results of the study that they have failed academically. The lack of a definition of multicultural education, peoples with different opinions, starting age, and historical facts in the multicultural education process has been determined as the difficulties of multicultural education.
