Özet: Tourism is one of the developing sectors providing advantages to close the current account deficit and create employment in the Turkish economy via foreign currency income. Firstly, the demand for tourism must increase if the tourism sector could contribute to the Turkish economy. The increasing demand for tourism depends on the stability of the prices. Therefore, increasing investments in tourism will increase the tourism income. In this study, the relationship between tourism incomes and CPI in the Turkish economy is examined for the period 2003:01-2020:12. As a result of the empirical analysis, it is found that CPI and tourism incomes are the causes of one another for the Turkish economy. This result can be explained as due to the Turkish economy's inflation, the Turkish Lira loses value, and the exchange rate increases, so the prices of the tourism services remain lower than the other countries. Thus, Turkey is preferred by tourists, and tourism incomes of Turkey increase because of relatively lower tourism prices.
