Özet: In this study it is aimed to compare social anxiety and problem solving abilitiy levels of 6th, 7th, 8th class students of primary level. Study performed in Bitlis city at two primary school. Samples include 10-15 aged 173 male and 180 female students. Subsequent to data base and literatüre studies, personal information form composed by the researcher. Data collected by Problem Solving Inventory by Heppner and Peterson 1982, and Social Anxiety Scale by Aydın and Tekin Sav Sütçü 2007. Findings didn’t show a meaningful difference between gender and social anxiety scores but p<,002 levelled a meaningful difference between problem solving ability levels is found. According to this it is clear that female students have higher problem solving abilities than males. While there is a p<,001 levelled meaningful difference between state of dports and social anxiety scores, p<,05 levelled meaningful dişfference also found between solving problem abilities too. Up to those findings it is possible that students doing sport regularly have lower social anxiety and higher problem solving abilities. Education level of mother and father and brach of sport variables statistically didn’t Show any meaninful results.
