Özet: Dürdane Hanım novel, written by Ahmet Midhat Efendi, deals with the love, love, suffering and tragic life of a young girl. Dürdane Hanım sacrificed herself as a young girl. With this character, the author wants to reflect both the psychological and sociological identities of young women and girls living in İstanbul at that time. The writer, who sees the process of sacrificing himself to the Dürdane Hanım himself (to Mergub Bey) as a tragic destruction, created the characters, places, events and other building elements in the novel accordingly. This novel reveals the family dramas in large mansions during the Tanzimat period. The purpose of this study; Dürdane Hanım is to examine her novel in terms of novel technique.
