Özet: Republic of Turkey, in the foundation stage, the remaining economic structure from the Ottoman Empire in examining the economic situation, economic factors must firstly to identify as the framework. The economy of the foundation years of the Republic is based on the economic structure taken over from the Ottoman Empire.  Production in the Ottoman Empire was based on agriculture. For this reason, the industry has not developed and has taken part in the country as a completely small production units, scattered within itself. It is seen that capital accumulation is in the hands of very serious minorities and foreign capital. The aim of this study is to present a brief analysis of the economic structure taken over from the Ottoman Empire which shaped the economy during the foundation of the Republic.
