Özet: Karadora is located in the Bafra Plain which was discovered during the archaeo¬logical survey that we carried out in the Samsun Region Coastal Section in 2019. Located 4 km’s east of the Halys and 11 km’s south of the Black Sea, the locatlity consists of two sections: namely the “Höyük” (Mound) and the “Tepe” (Hill). The surface pottery finds of the Mound do not vary much and reflect an authentic integrity in regards of their forms. Other finds are composed of; one stone axe, one biconical slingstone and chipped stone tools (two obsi¬dian and one silex). Karadora Höyük finds; reflect a single stratum and multi-phased settlement, also follow a compatible pattern with the Late Chalcolithic Age stra¬tums of İkiztepe Mounds which are located app¬roxima¬tely 5 km’s away. At Karadora Tepe which is located to the north-northeast of the Höyük, Paleolithic and Late Prehistoric stone tools were discovered. Being the se¬cond Paleolithic locality after Tekkeköy in the Sam-sun Region. Here, during different time periods could have been used as an open air workshop or tempo¬rary shelters of nomadic communities. This newly disco¬vered locality, has not only contributed to the quantity of known period localities in the Bafra Plain, but also has confir-med a dense demographical move¬ment was wit-nessed.
