Özet: The aim of this study to determine and map soil erosion susceptibility classes in Çorum Stream Basin with the help of analytical hierarchical process (AHS), which is one of the multi-criteria decision making methods. Çorum Stream Basin is located in the Central Black Sea Part of the Black Sea Region and has an area of about 1510 km2. In order to determine soil erosion susceptibility classes, eight criteria (erodobility, erosivity, slope, land use, soil depth, parent material, vegetation cover and physiogeographic main landforms) and sub-criteria of these criteria were determined. In the production of data belonging to these criteria, 1: 25.000 scaled digital topography maps of the study area; Laboratory analysis and calculations of 282 soil samples taken from the field for erodobility and depth data; Landsat 8 OLI_TIRS satellite images dated September 26, 2015 were used to determine the land use and vegetation cover. The AHS technique was used in determining the priorities of the criteria and sub-criteria, and the linear combination technique was used in determining the erosion susceptibility classes consisting of 4 classes. According to the analysis results, erosion risk is not observed in 18.7% of the basin, while it is very high in 41.6%. Areas with high erosion risk are partially or completely devoid of vegetation. In addition, the erosion risk has been found to be very high on very inclined slopes where dry farming is carried out. Detailed planning studies should be done in these areas.
