Özet: The historical impact of the convergence between Wittgenstein and Heidegger has contributed to bridging the gaps between analytic traditions on the one hand and continental tradition on the other. The paper is an attempt to develop a comparative study of the two philosophers and their contribution in the said aspects, restricting primarily to their philosophisation of language and life world.Can there be a shared concern for certain limitations of the analytical trend in philosophy in general and of philosophy of language that needs revision in the context of practical concerns for the life –world?
