To keep up with this demand the government is also setting up English-medium schools. Apart from state boards, many boards like ICSE and CBSE are also imparting English education. This paper seeks to find out the English language proficiency (ELP) level of pupils of various boards, especially in the states of Jharkhand and West Bengal.
