Özet: Since tourism has both positive and negative effects on the quality of the life of local people, the study of local people's perceptions and attitudes towards tourism has become the focus of researchers. The aim of the research is to measure the impact of tourism on the quality of the life of local people. The area of the research has been chosen as the province of Mardin. The data of the study were obtained from 509 participants using the questionnaireS. Regression analysis was conducted to investigate the impact of tourism on the quality of the life of local people. The findings of the study indicated that while tourism has a positive impact on the local people of Mardin in environmental and economic terms it also have socio- cultural impacts.
