Özet: The aim of this study is to analyse the competitive power of wheat and wheat originated commodities produced in Turkey in export markets.  A well-recognized measure of Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Balassa’s Index, was adopted in the study in order to analyse competitiveness. The study covers the period of between 2001 and 2018. The results indicate that Turkey had a comparative advantage for wheat in 2001, but this was later lost, although the RCA was comparatively high in wheat products exports from 2001 to 2018. This shows that Turkey has significant potential for specialization in the production and export of wheat originated commodities to generate more foreign trade revenues for the country.
