Özet: Subject curricula applied as part of the education reform that was realized in our country have targeted an important task to make significant changes in the content of subjects and their teaching process. Improving the quality of education that requires the progress of educational technologies, the disclosure of new approaches essence to our country, their coordination with our achievements, the determining the ways to apply, and so on. are serious requirements for pedagogical science. The emergence of new learning technologies in recent years, and generally, any innovation that had an impact on educational institutions, depends on a clear comprehension of nature, demands, and implementation aspects of subject curricula, and especially its content standards. The article focuses on the essence, requirements, and practice characteristics of content standards for an expressive reading of literary works in accordance with the research topic. The results of the experimental research are interpreted in the article on the basis of concrete examples
