Özet: One of the Azerbaijanian skilled recites who regularly appeal to folklore is Gasim bey Zakir. The content and the idea of folklore in the poetry of Zakir are analysed on the basis of examples. At the same time the most spread and appeared forms of folklore motives in Azerbaijan written literature are also cleared up. Zakir does not only create folklore motives, he also participates as the continuer of national poetic philosophic traditions. In all works he seems as the great conveyer of national colors. So that in the article it is also said about the mutual relation of the written literature with folklore values in Azerbaijan literature. The problems become more important in Azerbaijani history of literature which has a rich folklore and written literature. Though a lot of investigations were carried out, they are very few.
