Özet: Turkey is an earthquake country that is located on the land of active fault lines. Consisted earthquakes in recent years, demonstrates how poor earthquake performance and resistance of existing structures occured. These disasters caused numerous loss of lives and substantial material damages. In large part of demolished buildings, it can be observed major deficiencies on; the stage of project planning, materials selecetion and the implemantation phase. This circumstance, led to concentrate the evaluation studies with respect to structure’s performance. On the other hand, ongoing researches has required to renew earthquake regualtions. Several studies are performed in order that structures are able to make consalidated. For this purpose, calculations are made with the aid of modal analysis and the method of equivelent earthquake load which is one of the linear calculation methods. Steel Cross members used in this study are carried out in such a way to minimize the impacts on architectural features and the aim of structure’s utilization. Steel crosses are widely used in order to strength structures without blocking functions and buildings on the stage of reinforcement.
