Prevalence of Sleep Disorder in Menopause Women in Hamadan

Özet: Change in endocrine status of menopause women affects sleeping. According to the studies, the sleep disorder in menopause women has a high prevalence, the present study aimed to determine the prevalence of sleep disorder among women in Hamadan Province. Sixty 45 to 60-year-old menopause women with mean age of 53.83 years underwent clinical interview and they also were asked to complete the PSQI questionnaire (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index). Results indicated that 87 percent of subjects suffered from sleep disorder. The most common symptom was feeling too hot. Changes around the menopause age can have major impacts on sleep and consequently on general health.
