Özet: In recent years, with conjunction of Internet and Web concepts into education, changes had begun to be observed in curricula of schools and softwares started to be used. Web-based education has made each house a school, a faculty and a course with the easy access to internet and computer today. In this study, quantitative- descriptive research method was used in order to determine the Near East University students’ use of databases. Findings of the study had been obtained after relating and interpreting the data gathered from the local and foreign literature scans and survey application findings to the Moodle (learning management system) students to be created. Research’s study group was becoming from 207 accesible students studying “Information and Communication” at Near East Unıversity in TRNC. 50.7% of the study group was male and 49.3% was female. When the age distribution of participating students were examined it was seen that 56% of the students were between the ages “17 and 19” and 44% was “20-23”. Besides according to gathered results, all of the 3 views under the dimension of “Research Use” were answered generally as “Agree”. When it is evaluated according to the items in the survey, it was determined that students are paying attention to periodical and newspaper research topics, and believing that produced information in a research would assist to solve a problem faced in daily life.
