The Expectations of Teacher Candidates from Atatürk Teacher Training Academy in North Cyprus

Özet: The aim of this study is; determine to student teachers’ expectation from Ataturk Teacher Academy. Qualitative research method was used and the data were analyzed through “content analysis”. The research group  consisted of  43 student teachers who are the students at department of classroom teaching and pre primary teaching on 2010-2011 academic year at Ataturk Teacher Academy. To gather the data, asked research group that question “ How  an Academy Would you like to receive trainig?”and they wrote their ideas through an essey. The results of the study indicate that; students teachers have expectation on “qualification of entrance exam”, “ sociocultural aktivities”,  “academic” and “physical opportunities”.
