Özet: Distance learning is student-centered learning.  Learners with different background may have different perceptions about distance learning. A blended distance education program; consisting of traditional classroom meetings and virtual classroom meetings was carried out with three groups of learners: English Language Teaching (ELT), Computer Education & Instructional Technology Teacher Education (CEIT) and Physical Education and Sport Teacher Education (PESTE). Interviews with 18 learners, whom are chosen heterogeneously (according to their performance in the written exam), from 123 students were carried out. Overall result was that; learners were more confident and they were high achievers when they met with their teachers face-to-face.
