Özet: The purpose of this study is to find out the evaluation of inspectors about the competencies of teachers towards the use of new instructional technologies. This is a qualitative model research. The target population of this study consisted of 25 inspectors serving within the borders of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in 2011. Data was collected by an “interview form” developed by the researcher. The interview form consisted of 7 items. Content analyze, frequency (f) and percentage (%) techniques were used to analyze the data. This research pointed out that regarding the New Instructional Technologies (NIT), inspectors in TRNC believe that: “new teachers are better equipped”, “only 25 percent of teachers are fully making use of NIT”, “Using NIT definitely has positive impact on professional teacher skills”, “the support given to teachers to improve their NIT skills has dramatically dropped within years” and “to improve teachers NIT skills, compulsory and yearly courses had to become a routine.
