Özet: The present study is a qualitative study aiming to determine science and technology teacher candidates’ opinions about teaching of biology in high schools. For this purpose, the science and technology teacher candidates were asked to write down their opinions in a report about the biology education which they had received in high school. As a result of the evaluation the following analysis of the reports was done and it was concluded that while the majority of the teacher candidates expressed positive opinions about the knowledge of field which their biology teachers had, they stated that their teachers did not use the methods aiming to have students participate more actively and use laboratories very often in the teaching process in the classroom.
