Özet: Although smart cards are being used in a number of ways around the world, particularly in Western Europe and East Asiathat are progressive in their adoption of technology, in many corners of the world, there are dozens of developing countriesthat this technology is not used in a large scale because they still do not concentrate on the importance of user satisfaction ofthe technology. In order to gain the user satisfaction, technology should be clearly introduced to people and they have to be aware of its characteristics, features, and benefits. Thus, user awareness can be identified as one of factor which influence onuser satisfaction. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the affect of user awareness on smart card technologysatisfaction. With the intention of gaining this goal, a survey was conducted among the 418 people who had previously usedsmart card or similar technologies. Results show that user awareness has the significant and direct affect on user satisfactionof smart card technology.
