Özet: Lactic acid fermentation processes are difficult to be modeled due to many aspects that occur during the process itself. That is the reason to consider the modeling of those processes as complicated procedures due to the strong nonlinearities or specific behavior. However, the bioprocesses offer a wide range of data sets especially when one or more physical parameters are maintained at a clear level. Simple analytical models are not suitable for describing the bioprocesses in general. In those cases, the fuzzy logic method can be a good option because it solves problems which include imprecise or incomplete data, and it models nonlinear functions. Basically, the fuzzy logic concept was presented as a way of data processing by allowing partial set membership rather than crisp set membership or non-membership. The present paper illustrates some steps taken in the efforts of extending the modeling of the dependences between certified inputs and output parameters of the lactic acid fermentation processes, using fuzzy logic modeling. As results, there are presented two cause-effect analyses for the following couples of parameters involved in the process: “pH - glucose” on the one hand, and “pH - lactic acid” on the other hand.
