Özet: Bone fracture is called that partial or complete injuries occur on the structure of bone. One of the biggest problems in orthopaedics is to not be detected or incorrectly detected fracture and crack occurrences. For this reason, computer-aided diagnostic systems have become the focus of researches in recent years. But, the difficulties of bone and tissue segmentation reduce the performance of computer-aided detection. In this study, it is realized the performance evaluation of segmentation algorithms on x-ray images including different bone fracture occurrence. The performance of the selected segmentation algorithms such as Otsu, K-means and Fuzzy C-Means have evaluated according to segmentation time and segmentation rate criteria. According to results, in the terms of segmentation time, Otsu is much faster than the other methods However, in the terms of segmentation rate, it is observed that K-means can segment the x-ray images with 90% success and therefore, it is more successful algorithm than others for bone fracture detections.
