Özet: Capability Maturity Model Integration Version 1.2 for Development (CMMI-DEV1.2) has been well accepted all over the world as a standard for project development process control, quality improvement, and capacity evaluation.  On the other side, eXtreme Programming (XP) is the most popular and effective agile development method for small software development firms and it is the lightweight method which can help these firms in implementing the software process improvement activities since XP is the more compatible method for software process improvement (SPI) models such as CMMI-DEV1.2. This paper presents the compatibility of XP practices to the CMMI-DEV1.2 key process areas, and illustrates the required software development, management, and improvement additions that are required to fulfil the missing key process areas.
