Özet:   The purpose of this study is to design a rehabilitation instrument that can be used in physical therapy and support flexion (bending or decrease joint angle) and extension (stretching or increase in joint angle) movement of elbow and knee joint. Microcontrollers, controllable knee-guard and DC-motor are used in the study. In the practice part, a hardware-software design and development of the prototype is designed and constructed. It is believed that developed instrument can be used for old age bedridden dependant individuals who cannot perform normal movements of the elbow and knee joints, receive physical therapy after surgery without any risk. Total cost of the instrument is 190 $. The patients’ medical care cost can be saved by using designed instrument. This device is made with entirely domestic facilities. The distinguishing features of this product are low cost, easy of use and portability.
