Özet: In this paper, we present the performance of the generalized type II hybrid selective repeat (SR) ARQ scheme using punctured convolutional coding and the code combining technique in Wavelet Packet Division Multiplexing (WPDM) by computer simulations with different parameters. Wavelet Packet Division Multiplexing based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) allows high data rate transmission in a severe noisy channel. With the code combining, at successive decoding attempts for a data packet, the decoder for error correction operates on a combination of all received sequences for that packet. It is found from simulation results that the performance of the system increases when starting code rate increases whereas code length and retransmission step “h” value decreases. On the other hand, the system is performed in AWGN Channel and Rician Channel and it is observed that the system is much more accomplished in AWGN Channel than in Rician Channel.
