Özet: This study describes some of reasons of using advanced technologies in companies operating in the Czech Republic. Our research team analyzed data of selected economic indicators of companies that are using advanced technologies. Then was compared those with companies that are not using advanced technologies or companies that are not have technology clusters. Our research team found a significant relationship between companies using advanced technologies and achieved economic results. These results were partially affected by global economic crisis. But despite this influence, we got some interesting findings. The most significant results were achieved in labor productivity, where strong effect of using advanced technology was shown. Value added and profit per employee was more affected by the crisis, so their values were partly different from the expected results. However, despite this complication we acquired relevant findings. The study was supported by research conducted on a sample of 131 manufacturing companies. Collected data were explored by descriptive analysis.
