Özet:   In the pharmaceutical industry, tablets have been designed in different shapes and size for commercial and branding purposes. Drug release profile of tablet depends on the shape and size of such tablet. Therefore, optimal performance of drug release profile is obtained when the shape and size of the tablet are chosen appropriately. Thus, this work presents a technique for shape modelling of pharmaceutical tablets based on the use of Partial Differential Equations (PDEs), which can determine some specific physical properties related to the shape and size of tablets. Various shapes of solid tablets have been generated utilising the extended formulation of the PDE method. The shape and size of the generated PDE-based representation of tablets can be changed by modifying the analytic expressions relating the coefficients associated with the analytic solution of a particular Elliptic PDE.
