Özet: The basic purpose of teaching technology is facilitating, improving and supporting teaching and learning process. Language teaching and learning technology is one of the results of communication and information technology in human science and it has theoretic framework and special principles. This technology has multidimensional and interfiled nature and it is made by investigating in theoretic and practical principles and bases of useful linguistic extent, computer linguistic and the knowledge of using optimum technology. This article with an analytical, descriptive and comparative approach investigates the effect of communication and information technology on language teaching. In this connection there are different stages of language teaching, class management, teacher responsibility, teaching and learning sources and providing and editing textbooks patterns which they are studied. The results indicate that there are many common points between language teaching patterns and language teaching and learning technology patterns. By introducing and entering communication and information technology in this area, class management completely changes and done by a research-related and student-related approach. Teacher responsibility is not collecting and transferring information, but he/she accept different responsibilities and must be a person who has different skills. Close, limited and centralized pattern of traditional teaching and learning sources changed to a open, unlimited and neutralized pattern and without time and place limits and also provide important results for language teaching and learning system. Textbook subjects are adapted from technology and have multidimensional and motional nature and their designers have technology-related approach, not content-related.
