Özet:   Web Services aim at a flexible solution for machine-machine interaction and as a worldwide trend in recent years, they are present in a variety of applications. The main goal of our work is to check if Web Services are also a trend in Albanian institutions and companies. This survey attempts to give an overview of the development and spread of this way of communication, the technologies used to build up these services and the applications for which these services are necessary. However, this article demonstrates that a lot of work still needs to be done in this area, because in Albania, mainly in the state institutions, Web Services solutions are not widely used.
