Özet:   The users interact with distributed databases located in different geographical locations of a company, sending read and write requests to the database, in the same way as with a centralized database. The goal of the query optimizations is to determine the most efficient way to run a query in a distributed environment by obtaining a system response time as small as possible and minimizing the query execution time. For this, in this paper I studied the factors affecting the queries in a distributed system and I presented the execution stages of a query. In addition, I analyzed the available strategies to optimize queries together with the algorithm that finds near-optimal solutions in a reasonable amount of time.
