Özet: In this work, we train and compare two artificial neural networks (ANN) using past historical records to estimate the levels of CO2 emissions in Nigeria. The two ANN’s used are the Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and the Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural networks. Experimental results obtained indicate that provided knowledgeable expertise is employed for proper neural network training, Artificial Neural Networks can be successfully used in modelling CO2 emissions. These models would be useful for government and policy makers in their attempts to curtail increasing CO2 emission values.
