Özet: The paper is focused on retail core banking services in Czech Republic and Central Europe. The Czech Republic is characterized by high cost of maintenance of the bank accounts. Although existing laws regulations, banks are still finding new ways to increase or introduce new fees. Because of this fact, several projects in the Czech Republic came alive to inform bank customers about the actual amount of costs of their banking accounts. Another reason for developing these projects is to put pressure on banks to cancel certain fees or at least reduce their amount. One of the resulting systems is “RCBS Calculator”, which is free and online. Aim of this paper is to compare RCBS Calculator with similar projects abroad and to describe its structure by Unified Modeling Language. Main purpose of calculator analysis is to illustrate very complicated structure of banking fees in the Czech Republic and much higher amount of fees, that bank customers must pay. Data from the analysis have proven that structure of banking fees is very complicated and unclear for the bank clients. Because of these fact bank clients pays much higher fees for their accounts than bank clients abroad. Only constant focus from bank clients on level of fees can build a pressure for banks to lover their fees. Otherwise banks will keep their business politics on maximalizing their incomes from banking fees. On the other hand high banking fees generates strong banking system which is very resistant to financial crisis.
