Özet: This paper seeks the answer for what parameters influence our ability to find information on the user interface. To empirically explore this problem, an experiment has been conducted where users had to solve search tasks in which the target was embedded several times on the screen. Users did not have to discover all occurrences of the target: if they thought they have found the target they did not have to continue searching. The results show which objects were not observed and which part of the screen fail to get the users’ attention. Conclusions give instructions for web designers what they should take into consideration for designing web pages.
