Özet: This paper provides an analysis of Socratic Method as a teaching practice in the context of cognitive science theories, motivational theories and neurobiology of learning. Analysis indicates that this method promotes motivation to enhance better learning as well as being a good match for satisfying the rules-conditions of learning. This paper would be beneficial for instructional designers, teachers and policy makers who would like to understand the impact and use of Socratic Method.
