Özet: Software Development Process Improvement (SDPI) framework was developed to help the Small Software Development Firms (SSDFs) in managing and improving the software developments activities in a systemic way [1]. This paper describes the validation approach which was used to validate the suitability and of the SDPI framework for SSDFs. In this respect, CMMI-DEV1.2 questionnaire were collected from 30 professional developers and managers who were working in Jordanian SSDFs. Based on the results of these questionnaires, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program was used to calculate the mean values of the suitability of this framework for these firms. The suitability of the framework for small software development firms was determined and is discussed in this paper.
