Özet: The paper presents an algorithm for functioning of a pulse width modulation (PWM) controller that generates pulses to command the insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) contained by an active filter. The application is made in LabVIEW and using a data acquisition board can generate pulses of different frequency modulation. The frequency modulation can be chosen by user from the front panel of the application and the pulse width depends by the residual currents. Due to these properties, the PWM system which is described in presented paper is flexible and presents high reliability. Shunt active filter controllers determine in real time the compensating current reference and force a power converter to synthesize it accurately. In other words the shunt active filter eliminates the harmonic current and also reduces the negative sequences currents of a selected nonlinear load.
