Pulse Propagation Study of 1x4 Multibranch Optical Waveguide Using 3-Y Branch Optical Waveguide

Özet: In this paper we have established the fundamental concept of guided wave for 1×4 multibranch waveguide structure. Here we propose one to four branch waveguide using 3-Y branch optical waveguide. Here we use 3-Y waveguide structure because the single mode optical Y-junction waveguide is a fundamental component for dividing /splitting guided light. We have analyzed the 1×4 multibranch optical waveguide and 1×4 multibranch branch waveguide using 3-Y branch optical waveguide with the inner and outer branching angle 1.63° and 1.26° respectively. We have computed optical field distribution of the different branch of the waveguide. The approximate uniform output field distribution is obtained 49% for all four branches in 3-Y branch optical waveguide. The approximate uniform output field distribution can be obtained by adjusting the inner and outer branching angle. Branching waveguide is inevitable for an understanding of advance optical communication.
