E-Governance Adoption in India

Özet: e-Governance in treasuries (fiscal units) of India started in 1980s. Attempt made to empirically study adoption of e-governance by the Treasury Officers (Officers-in-charge) and Additional Treasury Officers (Additional Officers-in-charge) Government of West Bengal. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Trust applied to build a conceptual model. Data collected from 82 treasuries and model assessed with regression analyses. The findings show that determinants of the research model are support but the system doesn’t perform completely error free tasks which Government of West Bengal should address. This empirical study of e-governance adoption in financial treasuries conducted for the first time in India.
